Phillipians 4:4-7

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

we are the Clay,
you are the potter,
we are all the work of your hand."

Laughing Poppies and Sunflower Pillow

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not much more valuable than they? Who of by worrying can add a single hour to his life? And why do you worry about your clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?" - Matthew 6:25-34

Sunflower Bar Stool

These two bar stools were painted for our homey little kitchen with no seating. I quickly learned not to say, "Here, you can sit on the pansy stool." It is not polite to say that to quests:), even though its quite funny.

"Hope" Bird Purse

I painted this purse for Elizabeth in 2008.
When you pull the
pocket flap up, the bird is asleep...
when it is down, yep
- it is awake! :O)

The inspiration is by request from Emily
Dickinson's famous poem.

"Hope"

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune--without the words,
And never stops at all...

Mexican Floor Mat

This is an oilcloth floor mat, and one of my most favorite things I have ever painted! The pattern is based off Mexican pottery, and the zebra print...well, is because zebra makes everything a bit more fun.
